what we do
The Constant Gardener provides organic fine-gardening and garden design services at a competitive rate. Specialties include: Garden design * DIY garden design consultation and technical assistance * Small scale garden renovation & installation * California natives and drought tolerant plants * Garden maintenance, including: aesthetic pruning, weeding, leaf pick-up, mulching, organic fertilization and disease and pest management * Sheet mulching * Small Tree pruning * Drip irrigation (not including valve or electrical work, which I contract out for). I do not do hardscape work or sod installation. I am a one woman show, for the most part, although I do hire help at times. Service provided generally in the Oakland/Berkeley area.

I am the owner and sole proprietor of The Constant Gardener, serving the East Bay Area since 2015. I have trained with local landscaping firms, studied Landscape Horticulture at Merritt College, and hold an MFA in Creative Nonfiction from 2015. My gardening experience dates back to 1999 when I apprenticed with a landscape designer. During this same time, while studying Urban Planning at Cal Poly Pomona, I also took classes in sustainable design and farming.
